LVL Larch Keels: The Deformation-Resistant Backbone of NaiBu’s Modular Systems

Beneath every great sports wood floor lies a strong, reliable keel structure, and NaiBu’s modular indoor sports wood flooring uses one of the most advanced keel materials in the entire industry: high-quality larch LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber). This material is engineered to eliminate almost all the natural weaknesses that cause ordinary solid wood keels to warp, sag, or break over time.

NaiBu’s LVL larch keels are manufactured through a meticulous process. First, raw larch wood goes through high-temperature steaming and full drying to remove all excess moisture and kill any hidden insect eggs. Then, the wood is sliced into thin veneers that are all aligned along the exact same grain direction. These perfectly aligned veneers are then stacked and bonded together under extreme mechanical pressure, creating a single, ultra-strong keel beam.

Because every wood fiber in the LVL keel runs in the same direction, the material retains all the natural elasticity, hardness, and toughness of solid larch wood while gaining incredible resistance to deformation. Unlike ordinary solid wood keels that can twist or sag unevenly after years of supporting heavy athletic loads, NaiBu’s LVL keels stay perfectly straight and level for their entire service life. This consistent level base ensures that every modular panel installed on top sits perfectly flat, so athletes never encounter unexpected soft spots or uneven areas that could cause injury. This is the hidden backbone that makes NaiBu modular floors feel perfectly uniform across every square meter of the court.
