Daily Maintenance and Long-Term Care of Indoor Basketball Court Wooden Flooring

Good daily maintenance is the key to maintaining the long-term excellent performance of indoor basketball court wooden flooring and extending its service life. The most basic daily cleaning work cannot be sloppy. The dust and sand on the surface of the court must be cleaned up in time with a professional dust push. These tiny hard particles are the natural enemies of the floor surface paint film. If they are not cleaned for a long time, under the rolling and friction of the soles of the shoes, they will leave countless fine scratches on the surface of the paint film, making the surface of the floor lose its original uniform friction performance and become dark and not bright.

When cleaning with water, you must be very careful. You cannot directly mop the floor with a dripping wet mop, because excessive moisture will penetrate into the gaps of the board along the board seams, causing the wood to absorb water and swell. You should use a well-wrung special cleaning mop, and use a neutral professional floor cleaning agent to treat the stains, and you must not use strong alkaline or strong acidic detergents, which will cause corrosion and damage to the surface paint film. For the local stubborn stains left by sweat, beverage spills, etc., they should be treated in time with professional methods, and cannot be left for a long time to form permanent marks that are difficult to remove.

In the daily use of the venue, some targeted protection measures are also needed. It is best to set up a buffer zone at the entrance of the venue to allow people entering the court to wipe off the sand and dust on the soles of their shoes, and try to avoid wearing shoes with hard and sharp soles or high-heeled shoes entering the basketball court, so as to avoid scratching the surface of the floor or causing local impact damage. When moving sports equipment such as basketball stands and benches on the court, you should lift them as much as possible and move them gently, and do not drag them roughly on the floor, which will leave deep scratches on the surface.

It is also very important to maintain a stable indoor temperature and humidity environment for a long time. Too high or too low air humidity will cause abnormal expansion or shrinkage of the wood. In the rainy season with high humidity, you can appropriately open the dehumidification equipment to reduce the indoor humidity, and in the dry winter, you can appropriately increase the air humidity through the humidification equipment, so that the environment where the floor is located can be maintained in a relatively stable humidity range. After the floor is used for a certain number of years, the surface paint film will show different degrees of wear. At this time, professional refurbishment and re-painting maintenance should be carried out in time, so that the floor can restore its original excellent sports performance, and the service life can be greatly extended.
